David Ortiz Quintero (b.1991 in San Luis Potosí, Mexico) is an industrial designer based in Lausanne, Switzerland. He holds a Master’s degree in Product Design from ECAL – École Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne.
David’s practice is rooted in a logical understanding of materials and technologies, guided by an extensive experimental approach through advanced manufacturing techniques that he refers to as material logic.
Driven by the conviction that design acts as a catalyst for change, he creates solutions grounded in empathetic observation of local contexts and iterative experimentation. His work aims to improve quality of life through objects, systems, and tools for everyday use, always with a strong focus on functionality and purpose.
